| The Editor’s Award is given annually to an individual who has had special impact on the Journal. This year’s award recipient is a devoted member of NSH who developed a technique for processing and embedding heart valves in order to maintain gross morphology of delicate structures. Her method can be applied to a wide array of complex luminal tissues and will be an enormous help to those working with these very difficult tissues. Her publication is an example of innovation in the laboratory as well as an example of an unselfish enthusiasm to share a new technique. This kind of contribution makes the Journal relevant to both practitioners and researchers and helps further the field of histotechnology.
