Foster Community

NSH is made up of a community of histotechnologists. We want that community to be a welcoming place for collaboration, mentorship and exchange of knowledge.

Make Welcome Calls to New Members

Members of the Public Relations and Membership Committees make welcome calls to new members, offering them a friendly contact to reach out to with questions. They share why they got involved and point new members towards the benefits that are most relevant to their interests and career goals. Email natalie@nsh.org to be added to this project.

Develop Posts for Social Media

NSH interacts with histotechs on social media through our Facebook company page, Facebook Histology Professionals Group, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube. NSH is seeking members to help us develop content for social media that engages, inspires and entertains our histology community. This includes histology themed memes, pictures and videos of histology, and personal stories from our members. Email natalie@nsh.org to be added to this project.

Educate Students in Your Area

Help NSH spread the word about histology as a career. Start a career day at a local high school or university using the resources available on The Block. Reach out to histo@nsh.org to contribute to efforts by our Educators Work Group to increase the number of histology programs nationwide.
