The Board of Certification (BOC) Board of Governors met on Oct. 11-12, 2014, in Tampa. A number of actions were taken at this meeting that include important information for histology professionals:
Due to changing technology, the time limits for completion of the experience requirements have been reduced for the following categories: Technologist and Specialist in Hematology, Technologist and Specialist in Chemistry, Technologist and Specialist in Blood Banking, Technologist and Specialist in Microbiology, Specialist in Cytotechnology, Histotechnician, Histotechnologist, and Diplomate in Laboratory Management.
