This all day forum will consist of lectures on various topics and tools for educators to apply in their programs or laboratories. These topics will benefit both educators who have NAACLS programs and those who assist in the laboratory via distance learning. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions and participate in discussions.
 
Topics to be covered include:
  • NAACLS requirements, basic overview
  • Curriculum, writing and developing
  • Writing objectives
  • Innovative teaching tools
  • Connecting with the students, including different learning styles of today’s students
  • Evaluation tools, testing assignments, and writing questions
 
Participants in the forum will:
  1. Understand basic NAACLS guidelines
  2. Learn how to write and outline goals and objectives
  3. Learn the different tools needed for teaching in both the class room and laboratory
  4. Understand the broad range of learning styles of today’s students and how to address them
  5. Learn how to begin the development and management of curriculum
