This awared is generously sponsored by Dr. McCormick and his family. The award consists of a functioning exact replica of an 1800 Liberkuhn Compass Microscope and an eight book boxed set of The Science Heritage Library, concerning the history of the microscope and histotechnology. This award will be presented each year that a nominee/applicant has been selected. The award recipient will be recognized at the awards banquet during the annual NSH Symposium/ Convention.
Award Criteria:
This award is presented for outstanding and exceptional service to the National Society for Histotechnology.
Selection of the recipient for this award will be made by the Awards Committee in consultation with Dr. McCormick. The Awards Committee may elect to not consider those nominations they feel inappropriate for this coveted award. It should not be assumed that the award will be given on an annual basis.
Nominators must submit:
- An up-to-date curriculum vitae or background of the nominee, showing dedication and service to NSH.
- Written evaluations attesting to service and dedication to NSH. These evaluations may come from members and/or current or past officers of the Society.
