Hacker Instruments, Winnsboro, SC sponsors this award with a $500 grant to the state society submitting the winning newsletter. Winners will be announced on the Tuesday of the Annual Symposium/Convention at the Annual Membership Meeting.
Award Criteria:
This award is given annually to the state newsletter which in the opinion of the Awards Committee, best satisfies the following.
- Reflect state, regional, and national news (clarity).
- Have articles that are beneficial to the histology laboratory and are fully referenced (content).
- Edited such that all entries are clear and to the point. Grammatical errors should be absent (neatness).
- Present itself in an attractive manner throughout the issue.
Applicants must submit:
- Completed application form.
- One copy of each issue of the newsletter published between May 1, 2011 and April 30, 2012. Newsletters must be published at least quarterly to qualify.
- Ten (10) copies of the particular issue which is to be judged.
