Director's 2010 Annual Report (Submitted by former RD, Melissa Hill)
I hope everyone has had a wonderful year! My apologies to the members of Region VI for not getting to all the meetings and staying as active this year. Due to some unfortunate personal circumstances, I was unable to travel this past Spring and Summer. I hope all of your meetings were great successes! Although I was unable to travel, here are the things I was able to do in the past year:
* Attended all required meetings and functions at the NSH S/C in Birmingham, AL
* Member of the task force for the First Annual Histotechnology Professionals Day
* Held the position of Arkansas state president
* Attended and helped coordinate the Arkansas state meeting held in Paragould, AR
* Participated in the BOD Spring Teleconference
* Found willing HOD Delegates from Arkansas and New Mexico
* Helped in finding candidates to run for the Region VI Director position
* Participated in BOD emails
* Wrote a couple of short letters for the Arkansas state newsletter
