Call for Council of Laboratory Professional Nominations: Deadline is June 1, 2010

The Nominations Committee of the ASCP Council of Laboratory Professionals seeks your assistance in identifying potential nominees for service on the Council. New Council members would begin their service in October 2010. The Council, in conjunction with the Commission on Membership, crafts strategy regarding member recruitment and retention, communications, benefits, and outreach efforts.

The Council meets twice a year for a full day and each month via conference call. The Fall Council meeting is held in conjunction with the ASCP Annual Meeting. Qualified candidates must be ASCP Laboratory Professional Members in good standing. More importantly, qualified candidates must also be willing and able to serve an initial term of three years, which may be renewed twice.

To be considered by the Nominations Committee as a candidate for the ASCP Council of Laboratory Professionals, please send a copy of your curriculum vitae and a one-page personal statement that briefly highlights your background and reasons for your interest in participation in ASCP activities and committee service.
