The Membership Committee continually works to increase membership in our organization. The role of the committee is to act as a conduit for membership needs and to keep records and statistics on the members.

Mentor Program
The membership committee works with the NSH membership office to provide mentors to new members in our organization.  Complete details on the program including how to participate can be found by clicking here.

Membership Recruitment Contest
Each year the Membership Committee sponsors a $100 cash prize for the member who recruits the most new members.  The committee works with the NSH Office to keep records on referrals each recruiting season.  The committee encourages members to be creative in recruting members including membership drives during your local events or in your lab.

Membership Benefits
The Membership Committee works closely with the NSH office and other NSH Committees to review and incorporate new member benefits each year.  Current benefits can be reviewed by clicking here.

Outreach
Members of the Membership Committee along with the Board of Directors and the NSH office staff the NSH exhibit booth at trade shows and state society meetings.  We use this opportunity to share the benefits of membership and the resources availble through NSH.  We also use it as a way to educate other health professions about histology and our organization.
